Basically, I added the midrange Dantana recommended from Parts Express with a new tweeter. This required some changes to the crossover to make it a three-way.

The end result
I like it! Really brought up the highs and got rid of that muddy middle. Now I run the amplfier flat on the treble and the tweeter switch on the speaker in the mid-position. I'll have to route a hole for the mids' basket as it sticks out enough to strike the grill. For now I put spacers on the back of the grill.
