Yep .... i Junked my 1990 plymouth acclaim today . she had 237,316 miles on her , i bought this car 9 years ago for $400.00 with a known blown head gasket at 97,000 miles . after installing a new head gasket for $30.00 it turns out it needed more then just a head gasket , was told the head was damaged and the top half of the motor would need to be replaced ,..... the local service shop said it was about a 1,200 job , and so i thought there has to be a cheaper way ... so i made my way to the local bone/junkyard and hand picked a used motor out of a junked car for another $400.00 with a 1 year warranty, well 9 years and another 140,000 miles later she finally gave out and i had to put her down today , God rest her soul ! best $830.00 frog skins ive ever spent .
may i ask that we all bow our heads for a minute of silence in her memory ?
(edit) the man at the grave yard gave me $60.00 clams for her bones . so i guess its now the best $770.00 frog skins ive spent .
