I am cleaning up a Numark TT200 and experiencing some issues with the spoed controls. Seems pretty straight forward: press the button that indicates the desired speed (33rpm or 45rpm) or press both for 78rpm.

When I press 33 and/or the red light indicates that 33rpm is selected the platter doesn’t spin. When I press the 45rpm button, the platter spins without pause snd seems to spin up to speed ver quickly. When pressing both buttons the unite increases speed and seems to it quickly. I haven’t verified thre speed for dead on accuracy, and it didnt come with a head-shell, cart or stylus so I haven’t heard it, but both speeds pass the eyeball test. It seems that the motor is sound.

I’ve opened it up and it looks next to new inside. Remove the main board to try to get at the board with the speed selection buttons on it. I can see it, but have yet to find the screws that hold it in-place. I can get the pitch adjustment cartridge out easily but that doesn’t seem to grant me any further access to removing the speed selection board.

In addition this issue, which is the primary malfunction, the reverse button doesn’t do anything. Not sure how they could be related but I don’t know what I don’t know… you know?

So if any of you know any known knowns or can contribute some known unknowns to this conundrum, I know I’d be appreciative. I haven’t been able to find a service manual, schematic, or blow-apart diagram online. I don’t have Vinyl Engine access anymore either. I have come across an operation manual that’s not completely worthless, but I’ve taken it as far as it will take me.

Thanks for reading.
