I always wonder what happens to those guys who scarf up all the broken stuff cheap. GIGO? Could be a great find for someone with nothing better to do.

I wish I lived closer, I'd happily go out and give it a look. I have no interest in VCRs, and I have little luck fixing CD players and tuners, but I'd take a chance on receivers, amps, and preamps no problem. Could be some nice stuff there, and you could possibly finance the repair of the one or two pieces you really wanted by selling off the rest. Deoxit aint' expensive, and we've all read the stories about the "broke piece of junk" that the original owner tossed and worked perfectly...

Granted, if the seller is a tech, then they're looking someone to pay them to take out their trash. Otherwise, there might be some interesting stuff there. I'd like to know where and why they collected all this stuff from!
