NYC-area tech for Sansui AU-717 Restoration?

Hi all,
I just purchased my first AU-717 off ebay. I had been trying to find one in good working order that I could enjoy for a while before deciding if I wanted to get it restored. Unfortunately, it arrived with a dead right channel (NOT disclosed in the auction!). I might try to return it for a refund... but I am thinking that since I have it, maybe I'll hire a tech to restore it.

Can anyone recommend a reliable tech to restore this baby, ideally within the NYC-metro area (NY, NJ, CT) so I can avoid re-shipping this beast.

There are definitely some techs in at least one of those areas, and regarding the faulty channel, I agree with your thoughts about keeping it anyway. AU-717's are easy enough for a tech to repair, if they haven't been messed with. :yes: (And these are due for reconditioning anyway at their age - so a visit to a tech is a good idea).

Might ask for a partial refund/compensation from seller as broken channel not disclosed.
