NYC to NC/VA anybody? Need to move some speakers

Howdy AKers!

I'm trying to acquire some JBL 4412 monitors from a fellow AKer in NYC and I live in northwestern North Carolina (Boone to be specific.) I actually am trying to get 3 Tascam tape decks to my house as well from NYC, but was thinking I'd pay to have those shipped, then the speakers came up as well. If someone actually bites on this, we can chat about that as well. I believe the speakers are in the Bronx, but can certainly find out exactly where if someone wants to help.

I live about an hour west of the intersection of Interstate 77 (N->S)and US 421 (E->W) near Winston Salem. About 3 hours west of Raleigh.

I'm willing to drive as far as Southern VA (Roanoke area) somewhere on I-77/ I-81 not too far north. Or to Raleigh/triangle area or Charlotte area if it works out that you couldn't / wouldn't want to meet on the side of the road.

In the way of incentives, I am a beer, wine, cheese, and coffee retailer and could certainly try my best to treat you to a nice amount of your favorite vice/libation/addiction/etc to help sweeten the deal.

Anybody coming this way from NYC and would be willing to help me out?

I might be doing that run (could meet in the Roanoke area) with a full-size van during the holiday season- keep me in mind if you don't work out another approach.

Thanks for that Fred Sanford. I will certainly remember that if it comes to that. When you say holiday season do you mean Thanksgiving or Christmas?
