First of all thank you to our host today, the equipment and food was amazing but the people in attendance were even better. More than willing to answer stupid questions and happy to share their knowledge.

I won't pretend to know what most of this equipment is but it sure sounded great :thmbsp:

I'll start another thread on the new equipment I brought home with me today :D

File this under sad but true, I think the $300 or so dollars I spent on a vintage system today sounds better than the $4000 I spent last week on new equipment :tears:

All of the pictures can be found here :

But here are a few of them.

And someone wasn't too happy about me being gone all day so he wouldn't let me play with all my new toys :nono:

And once again, it was an amazing day with lots of great music and food but the people are what made this a truly spectacular day. It was great to meet you all !!!!!

hope you get a chance to enjoy your new vintage stuff used to have a citation I
pre amp the best I`ve ever had with vinyl for sure. 30 day return on the
other stuff perhaps? You can really get some good vintage sound for 4K .
regards

Even though i had to leave early i had a great time!

What a turnout with lots of new faces to see and wallets to drain, LOL.

I sold a good portion of what i brought and bought some nice interconnects.(thanks Audiodon)

The food was excellent as was the conversation and the gear.

Wow the gear!!!!

There was a lot of it to drool over today.

I had a good time playing in the backroom with all the different tube amps,

especially Audiodons beautiful Citation II amplifier.

I wish I had had more time to check out W1jims MULTIPLE MONSTER RECEIVER

set up in the front office, that was a sight to behold.

I am sorry for the confusion i caused with the 65.00 written on the service

note that was taped to my citation 1 preamp.

Quite a few people were looking to purchase it(for 65.00) thinking it was the

score of the Day i'm sure, :yikes:. Show me a 1000.00 bux and we'll talk,LOL.

A big thank you to Frank and Peter for opening up their shops to us and to Jim

for all the help he provided in making this thing happen.

Hope to you all in february:beerchug:

Hey Bill those are some great looking pics that you took. Lugging that massive camera around with you all afternoon couldn't have been much fun either.
By goodness that's a fine looking set up that you brought home. Now I know why you snuck out a bit early. It was a pleasure to meet you and all the other fine people as well. Enjoy that new set up.

i had a fun time, what a great bunch of people.
Thanks to our hosts for putting up with us.

there was certainly plenty of food.
that's what happens at pot-luck meals, every brings enough food for 5 people and we end up with 5 times the food we need...gotta love america !
special thanks to rich and his wife for the wonderful asian food... the smell of that deep fryer made the entire experience complete.

Bill did a great job lugging his camera around and taking all the pics. My wife wants to know why there's mostly just pics of gear and not all the people instead? I guess, you had to be there !!

After standing in place for 4 hours with that thing hanging from my neck, waiting for the Bruins Stanley Cup parade, I bought a BlackRapid strap for the camera, now I hardly know I'm carrying it :D

"My wife wants to know why there's mostly just pics of gear and not all the people instead? "

i'm gueesing that its because the gear is far more handsome and refined than most of the attendees, LOL.

I bet that note got more than a few excited.

Frank and Peter thanks for inviting us into your shops, I had a great time and the best part was seeing and talking with all the AK members who attended.

i won't speak for everybody, but a massive receiver with all blue lights is a lot prettier than i am .

Sounds and looks like you guys had a great time. Good gear, good food, and good people. Heck it doesn't get much better than that.

Bet you guys thought I forgot about this. ...Well, I did. So here are the pictures, only a few months late.
