Someone had glued indicators for the various stations on it and now there are residues left that I would like to remove. If it would be real glass I could use pretty heavy stuff. However, I can only ruin it once and it seems softer than glass. Does anyone know what it is?

Thank you. Could the tint come off?

That I don't know. I'd test whatever you are going to use in the least conspicuous space. If you can't get the residue off, any glass cutter can make you a new piece and it not all that hard to change glass. I probably try a razor blade first.

It came off nicely with some patience using petroleum ether (I translated this using the web so not 100% sure I am mentioning the right stuff)
