Offered a Marantz 7c for big money. Is it worth it?

I bought a Marantz 8b from this guy a month ago and I told him to let me know before he posts in CL any of his vintage audio equipment. I reached out today. He is asking 4700 for Marantz 7C. Is it worth it? He keeps his equipment in very good condition.

I have Marantz 7T already and I am not very nostalgic about these amps either because I did not grow up with them.

4700 is a good price. A very good condition Marantz 7C can go as much as $7000

For a really good preamp, no. For a 7C as an investment, perhaps.
It can be cloned with better parts and simpler circuity for a fraction of that price, but it's still a nostalgic masterpiece, which is why I have an 8 instead of a Dyna Stereo 70.
