OH HELL!!!! It's here in my town!!!!!

His name is Chong. I do quite a bit of business with him on vintage W.E., Altec, and JBL gear. Great to deal with- however you will get no great bargains- he knows what he has. He pays good money for the best gear and makes it right before offering it for sale.

I am acquainted with Chong, he goes to all the local Hamfests. He likes to look for collector's items like rare tubes, tube amps, and such. There are no Metregons at Hamfests, though, so he must have other sources to obtain that kind of equipment. You are definately correct, you won't get any bargains from him but he seems to be an honest fellow.

Metregons and Paragons-- not my cup of tea. Heard Paragons many years ago but aside from being able to play real loud, I was not much impressed with the sound. YMMV of course!

3500 Obo is actually a great price for those Paragons in LA. About 3300 more than I have to spend on audio gear though. :)

Not a Paragon though. And it looks a lot like a "free" Craig's List auction since it says "make and offer". I'm guessing the $3500 subject line was a fishing expedition when you call the seller. He's probably had higher offers already. But then that's a lot more than those often went for just a few years ago. And we know nothing of the load in that example, either. :dunno:
