Oh no! My NAD316BEE was sonically slayed by Topping TP 20

Actually,I'm with the OP. Bought a cheapo $40 sure 7492 with power supply. And it kicked all things vintage that i owned to the curb. And the $18.19 tpa3116 board is even better. This is after a few months, also.

If it only had the balls of the Adcom GFA-535, I have both and they both are good in their own right.

That 3116 board on 19v will push a set of woefully inefficent overnight sensations to a pretty strong level. As loud as i need. For the most part, everyone who hears this $150 rig is flabbergasted.

I think there is also a whole lot of mindplay with these tiny amps. You look at the thing and say to yourself "I don't expect much, it can't really be much good, it's cheap chinese, it's low powered etc" and by doing that, your expectations are low to start with, so it's easy to be pleasantly surprised.
I sat there one night with a tiny t-amp based unit on top of my massive PM-95 marantz and compared over a few wines. It amazed me, but they really aren't that good at all. I've got a few now and modified a few more- they are just fun little boxes- but not hifi. I've got another SMSF comin from China to poke around with.

Just for kicks tonight I ordered a TPA3116 board amp from China. Now, do you have a line on $40 speakers with equivalent mind-blowing performance?

I have the YJ 3116 board, been sitting here for a month. Been
too lazy getting it hooked up. Guess I need hustle it up and hear what all the Hub-Bub is about.

How about coupled with a bass amp and sub?
