Any one have any experience with these? Picked up a pair over the holiday. The previous changed the crossovers to three way and put a 10" gmi woofer in rear replacing the passive radiators. Running these with a Marantz 2220B and at 10 O'clock to 2 on the volume these speakers are incredible.

Ohm makes very good speakers and a lot of the goodness comes from the crossover. Given the previous owner did such an extensive modification shows a lack of knowledge IMHO. They might be Ohm cabinets, but they are no longer Ohm speakers. If the original owner wanted more bass, then he should have bought a subwoofer. Placing an active woofer in that cabinet will surely interfere with one of Ohm's greatest attributes, namely, the midrange. Personally, I'd be looking for parts to get then back to original.

Not Ohm's but I took a pair of speakers off someone's hands last year who was moving to Europe. They were described as having an upgraded woofer which that (local) manufacturer did do on a special order basis. I was familiar with the maker but not this particular model and at the time, thought it was unusual for a 3 way system to have a 10" midrange and a 12" woofer.
Once I got inside, I saw right away that they started life as 10" two ways with a 12" passive radiator and the "upgraded woofer" was an active car sub wired in as a full range. To the previous owner, it was an improvement and he was a bit miffed when advised I was going to restore them to their original configuration. To him, they sounded better afterwards because they played louder. To me, they were "barkers" and should have have been left alone.
I was able to locate duplicate passive radiators at a local speaker repair shop and by guess & by golly, we managed to determine overall cone weight so I could add the appropriate amount of additional mass.
