Ohm Model I (eye) - best way to transport

I am going to look at a pair of Ohm Model I's (eye) for sale near me on Thursday. If I go for it (it's at the top of what I would spend), what is the best way to transport these home? I cannot stand these up for the ride. I drive a wagon so I can put down the back seats and lay down a blanket, but I'm not sure if the subwoofer should be facing up, down, or to the side.

Thanks.

I've never had any issues transporting speakers or subs when transported inside a car, whether they're standing up or laying on the side. Wrapping the speaker in a blanket helps. Just don't transport them in an open truck bed unprotected. I did that once and the wind tore up the woofer surrounds.

Yeah, these will be safely inside. I didn't know the case with these because the subwoofer is apparently very heavy - I don't want to risk tearing anything.

I would stand these upright if you have room to do so.
I transported my 18" Velodyne sub upright. It was a 2 hour drive, no issues.

I'd love to, but can't. I have an '18 Buick Regal TourX and no way would these stand up. Seems that having the subwoofer pointing to the roof would be the best way, it sounds. This would be about an hour's drive.
