I have been told and even read a little in other chats that Marantz 2270 and the (4ohm) Ohm Walsh 2 are not a good match? After checking with Ohm and looking up specs they said the 2270 is fine, since they show a minimum impedance of 4 Ohms. The 2270 specs are pictured in this post. I like the way it sounds but I don't want to burn up the Marantz! Anyone here have experience with Marantz 2270 or 22XX series and 4 ohm speakers, specifically Ohm Walsh 2? I should also mention that I enjoy listening with either the loudness button in or the bass-mid-treble turned up and about somewhere between 10AM-12 PM depending on the time of day and source. So far the receiver does not feel as if its overheating and it sounds great. I do want to turn it up to 1PM on occasion but this 4 ohm thing makes me nervous. The system I have in this set up is Marantz 2270, Ohm Walsh 2, and Denon PL 51F table and Harmon Kardon Bluetooth adapter for the AUX. Someone tell me I will be fine and to just enjoy my new set up-ha Thanks!
