How does the 2270 do with inefficient 4-ohm speakers in real life?
I’ve been long fascinated by the Ohm Walsh series speakers and a particularly appealing pair has popped up locally (so-so price, but great condition and striking sine-wave zebra grain). I’ve been on a fruitless hunt for a great vintage speaker to match my restored 2270 (thanks, blhagstrom!), dearly hoping this could be “It,” but the Walsh2’s 100w+ power-hungry reputation doesn’t bode well for the 2270’s reputation of dislike for 4-ohm loads, not to mention the power deficit.
Love to hear any insight and experience.
