OK I have made it to 1000!

1000th post! I made it! In celebration to this 1000th post...I will let you guys in on a accomplishment I made yesterday......I now have all the 80 series Pioneers! 580,680,780,880,980,1080,1280 and 1980! The 680 will be here tomorrow, the 980 will be here Tuesday and the 1080 and 1280 will be here Friday! It took me awhile but finally done it.

1000 is the new 100.

If you really want to hit a mile stone the new one is set at 10,000.

Congratulations on acquiring all of that silver though! I don't understand it but I'm glad you enjoy it. :D
 
Congratulations on 1000! I dont have any 80 series but I do have a Sx-890 which you dont see to often.

But wait....for this post I am currently working on the the 50 series now! Thats right for me getting the 80 series complete....now will enjoy getting the whole 50 series! Lots of hard work and lots of money will bring this enjoyment of hoarding one of each! I have got the 450 and 550....somewhat of the 650...it looks like it has been thrown down a flight of stairs....I have 750 in the works.
 
Congrats! I have zero problem with your Pioneer quest....sometimes it's fun to be a "completist". Good luck on the hunt!

FWIW, the very best thing I ever did with my vintage audio gear was have Glenn (Echowars) rebuild my SX-1980 (and Marantz 2600). The difference in SQ was more dramatic than I would have believed possible.

The 50 series will be fun too, but the performance gains are all in the rebuilds.

Thanks. I do rebuild everyone that comes in. It more fun to rebuild then to buy it seems. I have had my 1980 since 84. I havent redone it yet. I have put it off for a long time. Because if it not being done yet...I havent played it for awhile and I do miss it. With the other 35 receivers sitting here I rotate out every other week. I have fun running them.
 
Wow the whole series eh.Very nice indeed I've got a 1280 and lovin it and that's good enough for now a 1980 would be sweet though.Congrats on both your milestones.
