Okay to mix these speakers?

I have a pair of Cambridge soundworks outdoor 62 speakers that I’ve enjoyed quite a bit but one of them has blown, and I assume can’t be easily repaired. Hate to throw away the one good speaker, so I’m thinking of pairing it with a new Polk audio atrium 8, which can be purchased individually. Cambridge is 8 ohm, 90db, and Polk is 8 ohm 91db. Both 6.5 in woofers 1 in tweeters. Good idea?

I've never heard the Cambridge outdoors speakers, so can't comment on the match, but I can say you can't go wrong with the Polk Atrium speakers -- they sound great and are supposed to be mil-spec rated for weather. I've had a pair of Atrium 6's out on the far end of our deck (totally unprotected) and they have been through freezing cold winters (one was actually buried under snow for several weeks) and they still look and sound great.

The Polks are pretty bright speakers, so if the Cambridge are laid back and not as bright, they may not match perfectly. I'm using a passive in-ground sub with the Atrium 6's and the sound is unbelievably good for an outdoor system.

No, not the best idea. Get a new pair of speakers, rather than mixing two different ones both because no two speakers are really going to sound similar, and also the failure of the one speaker may be age related, and the other may not be far behind.

If you happen to have a 2.1 amp you are driving the speakers with, you could get a pair of Polk Atrium 4's (about $150 a pair) and TIC passive 8" in-ground sub ($120 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009UI6L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for not much more than 1 Atrium 8 speaker. I suspect you will like the sub+atrium a lot more than any combination of Atrium or Atrium/Cambridge speaker alone.
