Old / boutique MOSFET replacement advice please

Markoneswift

Quartz locked n ready to rock
Hey all,

I'm working on a Perreaux SM3 preamplifier which has a very weak and distorted channel. I've traced the issue to the P channel MOSFET SIVP0116N2 in the bad channel - it's leaking gate - source. The N channel SIVN0116N2 is suspect too, so I'm going to attempt to replace both.

My question is - what parts can actually replace these? I can find VP0116N2 on Ebay but not VN0116N2. I can find plenty of VP / VN 0116N3 parts but they are plastic cased TO-92 devices.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.

Due to the stunning sound of silence, I've researched further and tracked down some VP0120n2 and VN0120N2 devices. Apparently exactly the same electrically as the 0116n2, just rated for 200v so actually an even better part to fit.

@Markoneswift I just found this post online as I’m currently looking for VP0120N2 and VN0120N2 MOSFETs to repair my vintage power amplifier. Would you mind sharing where you got them from?

Thanks in advance!
