Old Guy From Olympia Saying Hi

I first want to acknowledge the Audiokarma Forum all the valuable info here... Thanks for your help!
Most of my audio related Google searches recently have been some form of this: "[insert product] Audiokarma".

At some point early on I realized that, with a little research, one could find nice preforming equipment for not much more than the mediocre stuff. Some of the equipment I purchased new, I still own. Most of my old stereo equipment has been in storage due to either being too big (speakers) or inconvenient (no remote). I've recently retired and have been unpacking my old stereo for use in my shop. It's been great to be able to play it as loud as I want. :)

I like to listen to jazz, blues and the 70s/80s rock I grew up with. The turntable is still hooked up and we (my wife and I) still listen to vinyl.

Here's some of my current equipment:
Phase Linear 3000 Preamp (bought new)
Phase Linear 300 Amp (bought new)
Phase Linear 400 Amp
Marantz 1070 Amp (bought new)
Yamaha CX-830 Preamp
Technics SL-DL1 Turntable (bought new)
Sims Suspension System SR-100 (TT anti-vibration stand)
Marantz 6300 Turntable (bought new)
Dahlquist DQM-9 Speakers
Inifinity 3000 Speakers (not RS)

Nice Gear! I have multiple pairs of Dahlquists myself and am a bit of a fan boy.

I also grew up in University Place (before it was a city (HA! city.) and Gig Harbor before leaving the area a while back. Welcome!

Welcome to AK, Ron!
Nice gear. I’m still 26-ish years away from retirement, but I spend every free moment I have in my shop listening to music and tinkering with gear.
I’m about 25 minutes south of you in Lewis County.
If that’s you in your avatar wearing a motorcycle helmet, then I’m assuming you ride as well- we should go for a ride sometime.

Welcome and nice gear might I add.
the local talk show sometimes shares the weather report from the weather station on top of the mountain, cold to say the least.
