Old mysterious speaker from a tube radio:help identification!

Hi guys!
A friend of mine gave me an old mysterious speaker, it comes from a vintage tube radio with turntable on the top of the wooden plinth.
It's the classic tube radio of the '50s, I don't know the manufacturer, but surely it must be european.
So, please could you help me to identify the brand of this speaker?

I've seen many earlier vintage alnico speakers with such circle holes , Philips , Goodmans , stentorian etc etc ...
the alnico is quite unique , almost look like a rounded ball and that is not very common... so hopefully that part will set it apart more easily for someone with knowledge of these to identify them.

I don't know what they are so don't want to guess...
 
If the radio was made in the USA, so was the speaker.

Quam, Oxord, CTS, and probably a dozen other US companies used frames with round holes.
 
The OP is from Italy so I would think that most likely the speaker is European made, maybe German or British.
A picture of the radio it came from might be helpful in its identification.
Out of curiosity, does the bell cover have a screw in the middle making it removable or is it permanently mounted?
 
Philips made them with same pattern as that one .
look up alnico Phillips in pictures and you should find one ..

Hi Valvenator!
You're right: on the bell (I mean that bell that covers the magnet) there's a screw, but I didn't try to screw it off due to the fear of damaging it.
Do you think screwing it off can help us to identify this speaker?Please, let me know your opinion!
