Old Records with Dimples

My Decca classical dumpster dives have some of them. A few even have a lot. They play ok, just a rumble whenever the stylus hits the dimple. For less than a buck, I don't mind at all.

There is one though which is absolutely ridden with it.
 
As to the question about if these "dimples" will "grow", there really isn't any way they can as they are molded into the plastic. The only possible way is if the record is heated enough to soften it and then, you have a much worse problem if the record is getting that hot.

Also, if the dimples "grew", what's to stop the grooves from "growing".

Ultrasonic cleaning can make pimples grow. It happened on a record from the 1950s that I have. There were about 20 on this record, and they grew from about 1mm diameter to 2 to 3 mm. They make pops when I play the record. Now I inspect my records before I US clean them. I use water heated to 36 degrees C. I don't know if it is the heat or the ultrasonic waves that cause the growth. Maybe both.
