Olson RA-580 Tube Tuner

I started going through this tuner by taking inventory on the caps and resistors so as to replace them. One of these 5 watt resistors off of the filter cap has unreadable identifying marks and does not measure using a multimeter. Does anyone have the schmatic or value that this resistor could be? (The one above the 500 ohm 5 watt resistor. )

Is this a Kenwood of some description? Kinda has that look. I know very little about specific Japanese tube gear though.

I should probably start looking up 60's tube tuners and find out who made it for them. Thanks much for the idea!

I have a Olson amp to pair with this. AM-253. 15 wpc.


I think it's a re-badged Monarch SA-40. Possible the tuner could be a Monarch as well? I'll have to do some searching.

It looks like a Lafayette that I have, but Lafayette and Kenwood were brands made by Trio in Japan.

***Update***

I replaced the resistor with a 500 ohm 10 watt wirewound replacement. Working great now.
