Found a pair at a 2nd hand store, 3 way with 10", Philips dome midrange and tweeter, tower speaker with a pedestal that rotates! Front controls that adjust tweeter and midrange and also a reset circuit breaker. Beautiful walnut vener even on the back of the speakers. I found some old posts about Omega being the budget range of DLK speakers a house brand of a Minnesota HiFi store. The sound great. If anyone's interested I can post photos.

I've heard of that brand, but never heard them myself. They sure look nice. The mid and tweeter are both Philips. Are there any identifying marks on the woofer?
 
I don't know anything about them except that my aunt's husband, uncle by marriage I guess, still has a pair that he received in late 1970s; maybe 78 or 79. If I remember correctly, he bought them used from a friend.

I was somewhere between 9 or 10 years old when I first saw them. I thought they were the coolest thing since sliced bread and remember them sounding great. It's been a long time since I've heard them. I remind him every now and then that if he decides to get rid of them to let me know, I'll buy them.

I've searched the net and can find very little about these speakers.
 
I saw a pair on the internet for sale that were painted black, no marks or anything on the woofer's outside to identify it, haven't had a chance to take the woofers off, but my brother rubbed the walnut vener with lemon oil.
 
Here's a Drexel record HiFi cabinet that matches the walnut on the speakers I got at a yard sale.

The woofer is also from Philips (or its US basexd Amperex division), so you have a fine system there! Philips offered its own complete systems similar to that so maybe "Omega" just purchased complete driver and cross-over kits from Philips and loaded them into cabinets they had made. That is one nice looking tower speaker, so congratulations.
