OMEGA Super 3T loudspeakers

I ordered a brand new pair of the OMEGA SUPER 3t speakers. I am very intrigued with the single driver design and to be honest, I have no idea how it sounds. I spoke with the owner (Louis Chochos) and he said I will be happy with it. Anybody here using any of the OMEGA speakers and what can you say about them?

I am still waiting for mine and according to FEDEX, I should be receiving the package by Monday. I am very excited. :thumbsdn:

Congrats on taking the plunge because I am in the same boat as you. I am anxiously awaiting a pair of Hornshoppe Horns that I ordered. Let us know your impression of the Omegas after you have had a good chance to evaluate them. One thing we both have to remember is that single driver full rangers need some time to sound their best. Ed Schilling from the Hornshoppe explained to me that it isn't the speaker surround that needs break in, but it's the spiders that are tight.

What gear are you using with the Omega's and what is your listening room size?
 
I used the Super 3Rs for a number of years on my computer desk. They are very very good speakers and you will be REALLY disappointed with the bass......at first. It took mine 100 hrs before the bass came alive and when it did, it was deep and tight. Very surprising for a speaker that size. Good luck and tell us what you think. Pix too.
 
Thanks for all the response guys. The OMEGAS will be arriving tomorrow. I can't wait to hear them. 50 hours of break in is all it needs.:banana:
 
Unless Louis is using different drivers, it will take more than 50 hours to be fully broken in. Either way , you will really like them.
 
Louis is using drivers of his design these days. They are said to be very good drivers. The added bonus is he's a real good guy that really takes care of his customers.

DIY versions are on the way. I can't wait for another option for my single driver madness.
 
Louis said he is using new drivers. Here they are. Still trying to get used to the sound. But I am not getting the full potential of the speakers as I am still tweaking yhe fisher. Diana Krall is in my room by the way. :D
