I know this forum is populated with similar threads but here is one more......

I know the records listed below are your somewhat predictable vinyl scores but what has me grinning beyond believe is their quality. All 45 of of these albums are in very good + condition to near mint condition. The previous owner must have been an absolute fanatic about taking care of his collection! I left with over 40 albums and probably could have bought another $75-$100 worth of albums.

Here is what I picked up;

Beatles-Revolver
Beatles-Let It Be
Beatles- The White Album
Allman Bros-Eat A Peach
Allman Bros- At Fillmore East
Tom Waits- Heartattack and Vine
Tom Waits- Nighthawks at the Diner
Tom Waits- Swordfishtrombones
Tom Waits-Closing Time
Tom Waits- The Heart of Saturday Night
Tom Waits-Foreign Affairs
Bob Dylan- Blonde on Blonde
Bob Dylan- Blood on the Tracks
Bob Dylan- Highway 61 Revisted
The Byrds-Greatest Hits
The Byrds- Sweetheart of the Rodeo
Bruce Springsteen- The Wild,The Innocent and The E-Street Shuffle
Bruce Springsteen-Born in the USA
Bruce Springsteen-Greetings From Asbury Park
Bruce Springsteen- The River
Bruce Springsteen- Nebraska
Bruce Springsteen- Darkness on the Edge of Town
Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run
CCR- Willy and the Poor Boys
CCR-Bayou Country
Big Brother & the Holding Company- Cheap Thrills
Big Brother & the Holding Company- Pearl
Big Brother & the Holding Company-Big Brother & the Holding Company-featuring Janis Joplin
Rolling Stones-Beggars Banquet
Carol King-Wrap Around Joy
Animals-The Most of
The Band-Rock of Ages
Procol Harum-Whiter Shade of Pale
Joni Mitchell-Court and Spark
Mammas & Pappas-If you Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears
Van Morrison-Tupelo Honey
Stevie Ray Vaughan-Could'nt Stand the Weather
Rod Stewart-Every Picture Tells A Story
Donovan-The Hurdy Gurdy Man
John Mayhall w/Eric Clapton-Blues Breakers
Buffalo Springfield-Again
Jeff Beck-Blow by Blow
Canned Heat-CookBook
Joe Cocker-With A little Help From My Friends
Simon&Garfunkel-Wed Morning 3am

Some of thes I already had but the condition of these was just too good to pass up. I probably left in some cases 3-4 more from some of these artists still sitting there. I wish I had the time and skill to post pics of some of these albums. :music: :music: :music:

Wish my GW had choices like that. All they are is the same old crap thats been there for years. Great score by the way!

i went to my local one yesterday. streisand, manilow, nana mouskouri, roger whitaker, abba. crap, crap, crap, crap.

i've never found anything even worth mentioning at our GW stores.

My local one mostly has stupid crap Christmas albums.
I have to visit every week to check if they add new stuff to the crap that has been sitting there for years.

Shoot I'd be happy just to find some of the Lettermen albums my Dad wants here in San Diego!!! Good score though!!!

Are the Dylan, and Beatles Records originals?

They appear to be since I do not see anything that indicates these are repressings. I am however not an expert so if you or others know what I should be looking for I would appreciate it.

I wish I had more time/money to go back and clean out some of the other titles. Probably 3-4 more each of Joe Cocker albums, John Prine, Judi Collins, Asleep Behind the Wheel etc almost all vintage 60's, 70's LPs. Someone at the GW had the good sense to remove all of the usual Jim Nabors, Kenny Rodgers etc crap out of the bin and put this stuff in there. Probably close to 250 LPs all together. I just can't believe the original owner would let this stuff go. Had to either be an estate clean out or a real bitter divorce....

Well got back into town after 2 weeks on the road. Went back to the same GW and someone pretty much cleaned out the stuff I left behind...... :(

Looks like I am back to sifting through Barry Manilow and Bert Kaempfer (whoever the #@ll he is...) records ad nauseum.

Check the Dylan Blond on Blond cover. Inside the gatefold if there is a picture of Claudia Cardinale, it is worth some coin as long as it's in near mint condition. Same goes for the Beatles if they are 1st press. Nice haul.

Well no Claudia....just pictures of Bob.
I really do not see anything on the Beatles albums that would tell me they are not first releases. The White Album unfortunately has a water stain on it though the record itself is in very good condition.

Oh well. Still a great haul.

Does the white album have a number on the front cover? If it is numbered it is an early pressing.

Don't see a number on the front cover.
There is a SWBO 101 on the inside of the front cover in the lower left corner if that means anything.
