The Situation: R655 starts smoking after a couple seconds R656 just seems to get hot. This started after stupid me tried connecting a step-up converter and a pwm fan to the output for the 6,3V lamp, which actually worked quite well for a couple of hours. Also on TP402 I measure 6V instead of the expected 17.5. So something is drawing way too much current, but i have no clue what.
Out of frustration I ended up replacing all the Transistors on Board A and all Capacitors except the filter caps, the output transistors I replaced as well, but that did nothing. And if I remember correctly Q455 was the only transistor that seemed broken.
When the amp failed, the music kept playing, I just also got a loud buzz that didnt correlate to volume.
So where do I keep searching?
