More than fair price for outstanding gear. It was there for 19 hours because not so many CL shoppers have 3 large to drop on audio gear at a moment's notice.

NOS faceplates are still available, I will probably snag one ASAP.

I am a McIntosh guy. I currently have a C32 and MC 7270. I will probably put the L250/B460 combo in the living room and put these in a listening room in the basement. We are moving at the end of August to a new house so basically all stuff is on hold while I deal with that.

I'd like to think the speakers alone, if refoamed, would bring $5k? Rumor has it only around 200 pairs were produced, but who knows.

I haven't really thought about it, I will never sell them barring a medical/family emergency.

I'm more of an east coast speaker guy myself (ADS) but that's one hell of a find. I am however in desperate want of a Mac setup and I bet those JBLs sing with that rig. Congrats!!
 
Another web site I visit has an appropriate phrase when a find/score like that is made.

So, I'm proposing it be used here. You SUCK:D:D:D (smiley faces, sh*t eating grins optional)

Ya did extremely well. Even when I worked for a living I couldn't pull that off.
 
A mile from your house? Surprised you had not heard them just driving around the neighborhood!

You'd think w/ that gear everybody around could.

I am moving mid August and currently sweating the gear transfer.... :)
 
I haven't powered them up yet and probably wont for awhile.

For the past year my audio setup has been "limping along" in a tiny apartment while my fiancee goes to grad school (for Physicians Assistant). There was quite a change when we sold our house and all my gear (L250s, L150s, B460) went into storage at my parents place. Let me tell you, there is a real change to your life when you go from 2,400 ft2 and a 2 car garage to 800 ft2 with no garage and paper thin walls. Right now I'm running little JBL 4406s, at really low volume levels.

However, we just bought a house, actually had the offer accepted Sunday night and I scored these like 12 hours later on Monday morning. So I'll probably just wait for another month or two until we are moved and settled in. I also don't have the room to deal with the refoam process (no work bench, etc).

I'm sure I'll have a post about them once I get them up and running. I'll also have a large unfinished basement in the new home where I can design an listening space.

So much to do. :music:

You must be sooooo stoked, especially with moving into a house with the room you'll need. I suspect there's a man cave already planned out?
