One Block over the Rhine.

It looks like they are about to start trouble here in Cincy again. They are calling for Mayor Luken's head, as well as the chief of Police, and if they don't get what they want, they'll probably strat to riot again.

"one block over the rhine, poor charlie, one block over the Rhine, drivin' round town with their smith and wessons, one block over the rhine. don' ya know they'll be waitin' for those banks to open up tomorrow, so that they can rob 'em on time, drivin 'round town with their smith and wessons, one block over the rhine. " ---

part of a little song I made up, over 2 years ago, during the riots, to describe the Cincinnati situation. It goes to the tune of Brewer and Shipleys "one toke over the Line." I have the Whole song, with both verses, if anyone's interested.

Some heads do need to roll. I like to see bad guys get what's coming to them as much as the next guy but there is no way that guy deserved to be beaten to death, he may have been hopped up on drugs but he was no real danger to to young fit police officers with guns, if necessary they could have just kept back and waited till more man power arrived, not like a 400lb man is gonna run very far  Christ even back off and shoot him in the leg. I lost count of the times they hit him with the clubs and stabbed him with them, looked like they were chopping down a tree. They handled it very badly and crossed the line just like the cops in the Rodney King incident did. "Serve and Protect" not "Lay a hand on me and I'll beat you to death"
