Hello... :)
I´am new in this audio foruns, and i need a opinion. :)
Recent, i get this Amp (Onkyo A-25)
http://www.repuestoelectronico.com/archivos/A-25.pdf

Is nice Amp, cristal sound, and i dont need to put it to loud to have clear and cristal sound.
It cames whit a Radio receiver (Analogic) very acurrate.

In yours opinion, what kinf of CD/DVD reader can combine whit it, and a Phono, ive seen some from Dual (its a brand) and Onkyo.

About the speakers, i have a pair of Onkyo, model SC-571, but its curios, because they are made from a company named Eroica, the front of the speakers are Onkyo, the interior are Eroica brand... any one have haver heard or now this brand?

Photo from the speakers: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/209/imagem010e.jpg/

Thaks a lot for your opinions :)

This is a very late reply, but do you still have and like this amplifier? I see there is one available and wanted to know other opinions about it. Thanks!

Not only is it old he has not been here since. Just in case he doesn't respond that might be why.
Hopefully another AK member will comment if they have that Onkyo.

Thanks, goodolpg, that's helpful. I thought it would be a very farfetched idea for me to reply to a 9 year old post (which had gotten no replies), but no-go. BTW, nice to know another 'old fart' out there, as I'm retired in southern Indiana. Thanks again.

That would be good. I 'discovered' an Onkyo TX-51 that has been sitting in my basement for a couple of years, something I got in a flurry of buying. After cleaning all the switching, I was surprised how good the sound is to my old ears. Then I thought of separates from that time period.

I have a tx 51 and I was going to sell it today, plugged it in and the light came on, placed in my car and delivered to a buyer and the unit gets no power when power button is pressed! Now, I don’t know what happens. I plugged it in when I got home and it still doesn’t work. Crazy, however, the plugs in the back work when I plugged a radio into it

any ideas?

It could be a dirty power switch because you get power to the unit and the back outlets work. You can try pushing the power button in and out several times ---if there is dirt that's keeping the contacts apart, it might get shaken loose. It sounds like a simple fix. Sorry it didn't work at the buyer's house.

If I remember correctly there should be a small black plastic protrusion on the back panel with a single phillips head screw. With the unit unplugged remove the cover and test the fuses with a voltmeter. I suspect you may have had a fuse physically fail during the transportation of the unit.

The outlet on the rear panel may still work even with a bad fuse as many receivers have "unswitched" outlets that parallel the main input prior to the power switch allowing a turntable or tape deck to remain powered even if the receiver is switched off.

I did look at those fuses, but I thought the unit might still work without them? I’ll check on that again and spray some spray for electronics that I have. Another thing to look at, but thing works and boom selling doesn’t want to turn on.
