Onkyo A-7022 Amp & T-4055 Tuner

Chip - HP

Super Member
This morning I picked up an Onkyo A-7022 Amp & T-4055 Tuner ... they are gold/bronze faced (doesn't show up in pics) and vinyl clad ... the Amp is 110/120/220/240 volt ... it is currently set on 120 ... should I leave it on 120 or change it to 110?

Anyone know when these units were available for sale? ... and the power wattage of the Amp?

That is a great set. The tuner was a world beater in the mid 70s when it was available. Check FMtuner Information Center for more on that one. Others will chime in on the 7055 power. A google search will get you answers here or elsewhere. Nice stuff.

Thanks ... I did google the Amp and searched here before I posted ... but found no specs.

Well if you had searched this site you would have found the link I posted to the service manual which states the unit is rated 65 wpc. It should have the rest of the specs in it. Well enough of that. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=114353 I did have to find it on google first then found it.

I would check the voltage at the outlet. The US has moved closer to 120+ than to 110V because there are lower losses at higher voltages. So unless you live in an electrically challenged area, you probably have 115-122V and the 120V setting is fine. I really have no idea if there will be a performance difference using the 110V setting instead of the 120 setting.
