Hi all. I have an Onkyo CP 1050 turntable purchased six years ago in Japan. I now live in Switzerland. I have a locally purchased turntable, which is good for me.
a friend asked if he can borrow my Onkyo. Switzerland voltage is 220/50 cycle. the turntable says it is voltage 100~ 50/60.
I am wondering if a stepdown is actually necessary because of the “~” mark. Older equipment I have that just says v 100 or v 100-120 automatically get stepdown transformers.
This one has me confused. The owner’s manual on line wasn’t much help. many advice? Thanks!
