Good evening from Germany together,
I just got an Onkyo CP1055F gifted. Unfortunately it does not work as intended - it worked, but the automatic cueing system for the needle didnt. So I opened it up and cleaned the old grease and put on new lubricant. Everything worked (except the plastic nose next to the snail for the tonearm broke -> I superglued it back into position). Now following problem occured: I wanted to test if everything works, but if I hit the play button, the motor starts spinning for 2 to 3 seconds and stops after that - the table spins out slowly. The arm does not move anywhere. Also if I try to start the turntable manually by moving the arm nothing happens. I've looked at the service manual but could not find a clue why it won't work.
If anyone of you can help a german student out, I would be very grateful!
If you need any photos or videos, please let me know.
