HI All
Anyone here ever heard an Onkyo M-510? Saw an ad for one on the back of an old Stereophile (Oct. 85). While this thing is drop dead gorgeous (Silver face with gold accents, wood on the sides and two monster square VU meters), the specs are INCREDIBLE! Rated at 300 watts per channel, it is stable down to 6 tenths of 1 ohm, with a maximum IHF dynamic power output per channel of 2.1 KILOwatts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!
What a great way to piss off the neighbours!

More properly, that would be the Grand Integra M-510. Yes, a rare and phenomenal amplifier. A year or two ago one sold on eBay for over $3K. At 170 lbs., there would be some shipping on that puppy!

Pete, who rather likes Onkyo gear.

Right you are!

Right you are!
While the ad reads in big bold print, "Onkyo M-510 - the M stands for Magic", the texts does refer to it by it's proper name, the Onkyo Grand Integra M-510!
Only the Japanese would come up with a name like that!
:)

Just pokin' fun Pete.

Love what you got to say man. Keep it up.

What can I say, Dry? I'm a Libra, or, as another friend told me once long ago, "you're a Water Dragon!"

I dunno 'bout that, but she was excited

Pete, not too keen on Sounddesign or Yorx (isn't that a peppermint thing?)
