Onkyo M-588 recap

Hi, I own a Onkyo Integra (JP version) M-588. Currently considering recapping it - if worth it?
I have a Parasound A21+ which I think outperforms the Onkyo in any aspect, and I am wondering if it is just so, or it could be because the Onkyo needs some TLC?
Anyone have had an experience recapping an M-588 and willing to share their thoughts on before-after experiences?
- Or should I just give up on the Onkyo considering its age?

If you like the Parasound, grab the cash selling those big meters will bring. One review of one of the Onkyo amps with big meters said it could be very competitively priced if they were not on the amp but with them it was priced a bit above its performance.

Agreed. I had the 588 three times and found it lackluster at best. And it was far newer at the time. Sell and get that $.
