Onkyo Receiver problems

I have an Onkyo receiver model TX-SR701, which has been a great receiver, until now. When I turn it on, the sound comes on for about 30 seconds to a minute, then I hear a pop, and the sounds goes off. Any body have any ideas? Thanks for any info.

Double check your speaker wire make sure no animals or children or family members accidentally or otherwise shorted out speaker wires by biting it or putting something Sharp on The wire shorting it out check the back of the receiver make sure nothing is shorting out any of the wires at the speakers same thing

Onkyo receivers usually have in the menu or by turning the power button on at the same time pushing one of the other buttons the ability to switch between low ohms and high ohms make sure they're set to the lowest weather at 6 or 4 ohms

If none of these things work try different speakers

Maybe your existing speakers had an internal failure in the crossover..
