Onkyo TX-2500MKII - FM stereo light only works on a dim bulb tester?

Wrong bulb is the culprit. I used a 12v bulb of unknown mA - turns out it's closer to 70mA. I found bulbs closer to 30mA and the lights now work as expected.

I'll have to pay closer attention to the bulbs I use in the future.

Did you use the proper bulb for the "Locked" lamp?

Ya.. wrong lamp did come into my head turns out the OP did the pre-work. the simplest things... (chuckles lol)

Hello folks. Got me a nice 2500 MK II with the exactly the same issue. When you said wrong bulbs it was obvious. Somebody replaced them as I could see becaouse that tape arround the wires.
The moment I cut locked lamp of stereo started to work.
In the future I just might to ask some further questions here.
