onkyo tx 4500 vs 1050

hello offer me 2 receivers Onkyo TX one is 4500 and the other is a pioneer sx 1050 would like to know which one is more musical eye that I mean in musical quality is not in power because if so would win the pionner ... the question would be as follows
which of the two has more warmth and quality in music.

I've never heard the Pioneer but have spent many hours listening to a TX4500 (one was my main amp from about '88 until a few years ago) and can say it's pretty much my favorite receiver.
I have had all separates for years but I still have fond memories of the Onkyo.

The oink was a step up from the mass market gear we sold back then. We didn't have pioneer but we liked the oink more than the Kenwood at the time. I'd say go Onkyo.

I like the Onkyo TX #5## series in both the first and MK II versions more than any other of my many vintage receivers. I have the entire line of the MK II and use them all, aside from cleaning the controls they have never had any work on them.

my onkyo tx4500 mkii sounded very very nice, it also looks amazing! onkyo was very underrated during this period but I'm a fan for sure. that 60wpc really had punch. I sold mine on ebay while back only because I was upgrading my separates.

I didn't have a sx1050 but I had a sx737 and I definitely preferred the onkyo's sound

I would choose the 1050 for one reason. You can get a 1050 repaired with ease, but trying to get an Onkyo repaired is almost impossible. Also, working inside an Onkyo is truly hell; at least to me. I have a 4500, a 4500mkII and a 8500mkII and they all sit on the shelf. I have made requests on this forum for anyone who can work on my 8500mkII and have never gotten a hit. Onkyo is wonderful equipment and, when my 8500mkII was working, it was a dream
