I have an Onkyo TX-860 hooked up to the following Onkyo components:
Tape deck- Integra TA-2700
CDP- Integra DX-606
Turntable- CP-1500F
Speakers- Pioneer HPM-100
I just brought home an Onkyo TX-SV515PRO which I have not hooked up yet (brought it home along with a Techniques SL-DD33 TT and some Energy C100 bookshelf speakers). A friend wants to sell them and I have the opportunity to buy them all for $75.
I like my TX-860 and have not had any problems. However, I'm wondering if this other receiver would be an upgrade.
If I don't use it with this system I will just hook it up to my Marantz CDP and Onkyo deck that I'm currently using with a Kenwood VR-605. That or I will just use a Marantz AV550 that was recently given to me.
Anyway, is it worth swapping out the TX-860 with the TX-SV515PRO?
