I have an Onkyo TX- SR705 that I am currently using with a Denon PMA390 and Warfedale saphire speakers. I am wanting to know if a used stereo pre amp for actual seprerates would help the sound quality to any noticeable difference. I don't have much money to spend but I just love good audio. I noticed a definite difference when I used the pre amp out with the Denon vs just the receiver. In the future I might want to go back to a surround system but it will be awhile.
