Hi Guys, I have come across a complete fully working matching Onkyo system including Onkyo PL-33 TT at the moment I have a Technics SL1400 TT question is how good would the Onkyo be ? and how would it fair against the Technics that I have ? Thanks. Groovetube.

The specs for the Onkyo don't seem bad at all but as its Linear Tracking you won't have as much choice when it comes to cartridges and there's very limited adjustablility as well. The Technics you have is GOOD so if the Onkyo is going cheap I'd probably get it as a second turntable, not necessarily as a replacement for your 1400.

Hi, The Onkyo is a complete matching system not just the turntable and it is cheap at $50. Aus in full working order so I'am seriously considering it and sell the Technics SL1400 as I only have space in house and wallet for one system hence the original question. I mainly listen to rock from all era's as well as all genres of music I tried to google the onkyo to no avail one other question is what cartridge the onkyo comes with as well. Thanks. Groovetube.
 
I would keep the Technics, it's better IMO. If you're getting the whole system for $50, you can sell the Onkyo TT on CL and get all or most of your money back.
