Only one channel working

Model is a toshiba pc x10
bought it used on marketplace for very cheap, everything works except playback only work on the left channel, right channel is pretty much dead.
ive opened up the deck, tested all the connections, ive removed the record switch and cleaned it and nothing
its a really cool deck so i dont wanna give up on it yet, any other possible solutions

Start by cleaning all other switches and the level pots. You should not have to remove them to clean. Use Deoxit 5 or Faderlube on the pots, after cleaning them. What did you use to clean the switch?
 
The record/play switch is a common failure point. Before operating a deck that has been sitting for a long time I will open the cassette door, place my finger on the record tab sensor, then while holding the stop button it's usually possible to bounce the record switch between modes multiple times. Often the contacts just need friction to make better contact.

In your case does audio flow through both channels while in record mode?
