Opinion asked. Fix or dump?

Cambridge P-140X

I've had this amplifier laying around for 25 years. Of what I can remember, it started to buzz/hum real loud. Fuses ok.
By then I thought it could be the rectifier that was gone or faulty. Or PSU caps (so close to the hot transistors)
Today I opened it up for the first time......

What do you think? Worth the repair or too troublesome to even think about repairing?

Quite a rare beast and a good performer. Well worth fixing I would say. If it's a steady hum then I'd start by changing the two big green capacitors.

One was bad, but there are still some problems. As ussual, there's no normal service manual to be found and of what I could find, doesn't look totally the same as the P140X. Then again, the thing is a pain in the ass to take apart and the fault tracing is nerve wrecking.
Powersupply is a steady + and -42 Volts. Looking for DC on the output,
so far one channel seems to be ok, the other has 39 volt on the MJ's. Well almost everywhere in the power amp path
Can't remember if the relay clicks for protection....... can't reach the legs to measure anything on any of the bigger transistors. Unless you take it apart.
Ahhh. While typing, it blew D1, on the RH channel, which seems to be a 2 Volt zener..... Oh my........

You might also inquire of some of the folks in DIY section of forum on Pink Fish Media, quite a few good chaps over there with a lot of experience on various British built kit. Certainly looks worth saving if it isn't too much trouble or money!

It looks good. That's what it'll do for the next decade. Closed it and now it's for display only.
