Hello everyone,

i just got a huge present from my buddy. A Goldring 1055 (800 new in germany) MM system. I tried it on my Pro-Ject 1.2 but thr weight was not enough and the build quality wasnt that great so i upgraded.

I bought a modified Rega Planar 3. It has the Acrylic Platter instead of the Glass One, comes with the RB300 Arm, Silver cabling and the Original Rega Split Slab Subchassie. Here is a pic....

Very pretty! Whats it sound like? I always like the Rega TT. Love the clean lines and the two I have heard sound good and great.
You have one good buddy their. You better buy him a beer!

I will pick it up on Wednesday :-)

Oh yes, my buddy is the best. He runs the Goldmund Studio T3F, Forsell Air Reference, Goldmund CD36, Jadis, CJ...you name it :-) :-)

But i do have him beat in one area, he runs modified Magnepans MG20, but it cant touch the DIVA. Hehehe, we always try to beat each other in certain areas. But the only area i can play with him is the speakers and the room acoustics and time.

;-)

PS: I helped him move his 8500 records yesterday (1.2tons)......man that was hell! But its awsome when you see a dedicated room with records only.

He better buy you a beer! 8500 RECORDS! That would be nice.

Hehe, well i got a beer, a Sun Audio Powerline and the MM System. I helped him for nothing, since we always dirve across Europe picking up audio stuff, so we are good friends. But its cool to have a friend who whacks out on High End. And i am right behind.....

The last time we drove to Austria to pickup the Goldmund CD36

He always says, he doesnt buy in numbers but in Kilos.....
