Opinion on TT upgrade request

Hi,

I have the opportunity to upgrade from a Technics SL-Q200 that I love (it's just so simple, and sounds good), to a Technics SL-1301, which seems like a much more substantial TT and is also a direct drive. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with both. Will the upgrade make a big difference in sound quality?

Thanks. Once I saw the 1301, I really couldn't resist anyway. Can't wait to get a needle for it and try the thing out!
