So, disclaimer first: I'm not a Sansui guy. I grew up on my dad's Klipsch and have always used them as a reference point for all other audio.
But Klipsch is expensive, I'm always broke, yadda, yadda, whine, whine, whine. So I came across a pair of Sansui 2700As on CL. They look to be in good condition, and are selling for what seems to be a very reasonable $59 (Am I right--is that reasonable?). The grills are "intact" (quote from the seller), and all parts seem to be original.
So, the basic question is: are these worth the time of day? I don't know enough about Sansui to be able to judge if they're great speakers, or just really pretty plant holders. Did a quick search of AK and Google and found some ecstatic reviews and some tepid, or at least unemphatic, reviews, so I'm not sure whether to jump or not.
Either way, your advice is greatly appreciated!
