opinions on ESM-4 speakers

I am among those of you who have speakers and other audio equipment (particular "projects") closing in on them and plan to auction off a number of them. Recently I noticed the ESM-4 speakers I have had as the secondary set of speakers coming from my receiver in another room, both had rotted surrounds. One also needs the speaker connector replaced. The connections can be made, but they are a bit "tentative," if you know what I mean. I am the original owner of the speakers and have the box, etc.

I have so little time and so many other projects that I really don't see getting these in shape. I might just describe them as they are and put them on eBay and see what happens. They shouldn't be as much as a pain as some speakers to ship, but I'm curious - what are peoples' opinions of these little speakers? They don't seem to be among the ones that get talked about much or lusted after....

A good speaker that's probably overlooked. For only twice the size of a Minimus 7, you get about 100 times the performance. Most likely the rotting woofer foam has put many an ESM in it's a grave undeservedly.

Picked a pr of ESM -4's for 10 bucks but yep the surrounds are gone. Nice looking tweeter in them now to fix the woofers
