Opinions on TT

Currently I have a Technics SL-Q350 w/AT101 cartridge (early 80s?, direct drive, quartz lock, fully auto). I just picked up for a friend a Sony PST-2 (77?, direct drive, semi auto) with grady black cartridge (needs stylus).

I have the oportunity to look at these, price unknown:

Technics SL-BD2 turntable; Stanton cartridge
JVC QL-F4 turntable; Audio Technica cartridge
Dual 1257 turntable; Audio Technica cartridge

Question is what is the best (2) out of the bunch, the only TT I have really used for any amount of time is the SL-Q350 and currently trying to determine which cartridge to get for the PS-T2 (differnent post). Thanks for your opinions.

The JVC QL-F4 looks to be a solid work horse type direct drive turntable.
Throw in a cartridge like the AT 95HE, Nagaoka MP-11, or something else similar and it will sing you great tunes!

The SL-BD2 is the same or very similar to the Technics you have except it is belt drive, so I'd pass on that one.

Don't know about the Dual.

I'd agree with Balifly on the JVC being the one to take.
