opinions on tubes

my sister plays gutiar for her church band and has a nice collection of tubes that i can use.
they are mostly new and some used.
they are all "groove tube" brands.

i have a set of 12ax7' groove tubes that are sovtech's. she is going to give me a set of 4 matched el84's as well to try out.

any thought and opinions on these?
is there any diffrence between these gutiar amp tubes and other tubes that are used for hifi?

Nope! Guitar amps and hi-fi amps can be designed for same tube types except guitar amps sometimes have their tubes (especially the output tubes) biased higher to get more sound and distortion out of 'em. Guitar amps are usually harder on tubes than hi-fi equipment.

Now, for the rest of the story! Different brand tubes have different sounds.
