I used to have a single EV LR4B..... at least I think that's what it was. It was a pretty neat, but I was dumb and pulled all the drivers so I could use them to build a box that would get me a lot of bass. Eventually I scrapped the drivers. I was probably in my late teens. I wish I had it back.
I've found a pair of LR4A somewhat locally. They're the same idea, but the execution is quite a bit different. Nine 5x7 drivers and three 3.5" drivers in a curved cabinet.
It's been awhile since I've purchased any speakers to mess with. The speakers in my living room are the Jensen Triettes that I didn't sell during the 2012 AKfest. They came back home with me, and I hooked them up after someone (Andyman, I think) pointed out to me that they're designed to sit horizontally, not vertically.
