Optimal cartridges with C-33

I have a C-33 preamp and just acquired a Thorens TD 2030 turntable (Rega RB300 tonearm with no cartridge). From the Berners website, I realize that the input impedance is 47kohms and cap is 65 pf, with the sensitivity of 2mV for 2.5 output. I am not quite sure as to what it translates into as far as selecting a cartridge goes. Can I use a low-output cartridge with this amp? Also, does it matter if it is a MM or a MC cartridge? Any advice/suggestions? I was thinking of picking up a Denon DL 103 or 103R or a Sumiko Blue Point Special EVO-III HO MC.

High output Moving Coil or Moving Magnet will work. Lots to chose from.

The Sumiko Blue Point would work very well with that preamp, but why stop there?

Get another TT and install one of the Denon cartridges in it; you've got 2 phono stages.
 
Umm, if you look at my cryptic signature, I do have another TT (which is a Music Hall MMF 7) which has a MC cartridge (standard Goldring Eroica H HOMC). If I buy a 3rd turntable, I might have to move in with one of you guys.....:D

there was a step up transformer Mcintosh made for MC carts, its rare though, sure wish I could get one.

You can get the updated replica of the McIntosh MCP1 from AudioClassics (named ACP1). I've got one coupled with my C32 and a Denon 103R. It's great. You can read the specs from their site. Same specs but with a better S/N ratio.
